Changing Fuel Injectors - need help with harness

I am swapping out my injectors. I ordered Bosch III yellow injectors 19lb (came from a mustang and they have the ford logo on them.)

I have an 05 5.4L V8. The harness does not fit the new plugs. I have seen several adapters but not sure what to get. Anyone out there have some suggestions?

Factory Injector on Right and new 19lb on left

factory wiring harness

New 19lb injector on my fuel rail

Before I changed my injectors I would research the spray pattern. As your engine has two intake valves, most injectors are placed/designed to spray fuel into the cylinder head just ahead of the intake valves, and the Mustang has only one you may be taking a step backwards.

EDIT: A simple solution would be to splice the Mustang connectors into your 05 harness. Then you could test the Stang injectors.

.

I appreciate the heads up. I feel that I did adequate research on these injectors prior to my purchase. Obviously I didnt seeing as how I don't even have the correct wiring to attach them.

The factory ones I removed had to holes and the Bosch type III have four. I watched several videos online which ran various fuel rail tests. The Bosch type III had great atomization. Somewhere in my mind I figured if the fuel is better atomized then it will burn. More burned fuel means less fuel that has not been combusted making its way through.

Again I appreciate you giving me something to think about.

What do I even refer to the harness attachment as?

Does the 05 F150 5.4 have an EV6 or EV1 harness? The new injectors (yellow) do they have EV1 or EV6? Getting this answered would allow me to track down the correct adapter.

Common... - all you have to do is look at your harness. Unless your impaired, why can't you do this? I can't from here lol.

Unless those pics above your truck, you don't say ? Well, if so, those are are EV6 connectors - is that what your asking, you don't know what you have ? That's' different then, you have EV6 if that's your truck, BUT the 3 valve runs larger injectors - NOT 19's. So the EV1's you have won't work anyway, even with the right pigtail.

19 lb'ers are only rated to - 310 hp. Your @ 330 hp, so it's not going to happen. You probably run 22 lb'ers, -at least. - Maybe even 26 lb'ers not sure, but I know 19's won't work in a 3 valve.

Yea, you should have asked here first before purchasing. I know Fords 05 stock injectors are prone to problems, that's most likley why your changing them, but yea, you need to find the right size for that engine to be compatible. No big deal tho, you should be able to sell the EV1's fairly easy.

I figured you would have to be impaired to realize that the pictures I posted above were of my truck. Its a new truck to me but you're right, if I had been smart about it I would have asked on here prior to making the purchase. They were a good deal and I jumped on them.

Thanks for explaining. I have EV6 connectors and the injectors I purchased are EV1's.....got it.

Come to find out the stock injectors are 24lb's.
