Code P0054
P0054 HO2S Heater Resistance (Bank 1, Sensor 2)
check and see how many volts are going to the sensor through the heater circuit, i mean check the harness side not the sensor side.

I think you mean P0154 (if you got a 96 up) and check the wiring going to the sensor before replacing it. That code indicates no activity like it is unplugged.

Anyhow code P2270 came up also! Stuck lean...Now if both those are for the rear o2s im just gonna tune them out. my friend whos a pretty good tuner will charge 100 bucks to tune it for me and tune them out as I will just delete my cats.

both codes are for the same sensor. it wouldnt be smart to turn the sensors off when they are showing codes. you need to find the problem, then when its fixed you can turn them off. if not, then like the code says its stuck lean which is very bad for an engine-parts will fail internally depending on how lean its running. is there any exhaust leaks? check your intake manifold seals make sure there arent any vacuum leaks. how olds the fuel filter? make sure the injectors are all working properly. maf ever been cleaned?
I assumed that those codes were for the rear o2. I always thought that sensor was just to tell the computer if the cats were bad. Cuz if they were that important, turning them of would be a bad idea no matter if the light was off. Because you would never know if that could come back again and then bite you in the *** lol .

I totally understand about fixing the problem first which i am as soon as its not 120* outside lol.. But if in fact they are important how would I know if it came up again if they are of? I mean i would never know... I just want this truck to last me like forever so I can save up for other things. But i would rather disable those codes if they are kinda worthless and just gonna cause me to spend money on it. Get my point?
