p0174 is lean bank 2.

is the truck a new body? or old body heritage edition? whats the mileage? do you have an aftermarket cold air intake? do you have an exhaust leak on the driver side? was there a p0171(lean bank 1) code with it? how olds the fuel filter? has the maf ever been cleaned? i'd change the fuel filter and check fuel pressure first.

got your pm. try to keep the info in this thread that way everybody can view it and try to help.

Yes The Truck is a new body, the miles currently are a couple hundred over 80,000. No the truck is bone stock, and no i do not have an exhaust leak. No P0174 was the only code that it was reading, as far as fuel filter age, and maf being clean im not sure. i just bought the truck about 2 months ago from a dealership in my town. im only the 2nd owner and as far as i know the previous ower had taken it to get all the scheduled maintence when it was due. i very much appreciate all the info and help.
Thanks
sounds like it could be a intake manifold seal leaking or an injector(s) may be plugged or restricted(or not opening)- or possibly the sensor itself but generally when they throw a code it means they are working(for the most part). is it idling rough? or is the cel and sputtering at high rpm's the only problems that your noticing? i'd have the injectors tested because if they are restricted or not opening properly at high rpm's then it can cause a misfire/lean problem.

I highly doubt it's a bad O2 sensor - it's doing its job REPORTING a lean condition.
