check the enertia switch behind the passenger kick panel (triangle plastic piece)

its a little black and white canister looking thing that houses a spring and a button, the button should be pushed down about 1/3"

if not that, check the fuel pump fuse.

If not that, hit the schrader valve/ purge the air once, you may have over pressurized the rail.

BTW- Don't crank more than 4 consecutive seconds- or the PCM will shut down the injectors.

so what about the fuse? if you have a voltmeter then check for power going to the pump.

Do you hear the pump pressurize the lines KOEO ? If you can't hear it with the window down or door open, there is a power problem.

Never mind , I just read there is no noise. The 99 is wired different, but you still may be able to swap relays like I can. The 98's have a relay and a fuse under the hood, but like I said, I know the 99's were changed, just not sure what was changed. That little book in the glovebox will tell you if you still have one.

Also, you can feel the relays, if any are hot = means their bad.

I did check the fuse that I think is the right one downloaded the owners manual off the net but I am picking a pack of fuses up tonight along with another relay just to be safe. I tried a test light and it did not light but I am going to double check that tonight as well.

Dose that year have the PATS system?
Do you have 2 keys? If so try your other key.
I had a problem similar to that and I had to have my keys reprogrammed and it started right up.
Just a thought.

Could it be a bad PATS sensor in the steering column? Does the truck have an aftermarket alarm system?
