idleing rough

98 f150, 4.6 triton, 120k miles..she works great when drivin normal speeds, round town or highway..soon as i stop at a lite or such, she idles rough, and sometimes fires out the blue smoke..plugs and wires changed a year ago...2 weeks ago computer showed #2 cyld misfiring, changed out coil pack..any ideas ??..thnx for any help!!

So you changed out the coil pack and no luck? Did you change the right coil pack? What do you mean? What have you done as far as maintenance?

A dirty Fuel Filter usually picks on that side (Bank One) first. Autolite or Bosch plugs can be hell on the ignition at any given time. You need good wires if you want them to last, -modular ignitions are picky as hell. Sticking with Motorcraft wires and plugs is the fail safe route.

Have you cleaned the MAF sensor lately?

Blue smoke? Try a new Motorcraft PCV valve, and be prepared to do a compression test. Blue smoke is burning oil.
