It might have the Nissan 3.0 VG motor? If it does, it is a good motor, I had one in a 94 Maxima many years ago!

 

my dad's 93 Aerostar has well over 300,000 on it with the 3.0, before that he had and 88 that he put 230,000 on. He drove both of them fully loaded with crap (was a sales rep), and still tows a loaded utility trailer to this day. The 3.0 OHV has been trouble free as can be. He only had the trans replaced in the 88 (at about 205,000). Fords will last, and they are not government owned.
