squaking/squealing when pushing clutch

Hi Folks,
I am new to the forum. Also new to Ford trucks, just got my first. It's a 1989 F150 V8 engine 4-speed. Been driving it for about a month. Still good condition.
First issue:
I have to clutch down very hard to start the engine, but it starts on first turn always. Just not sure why I have to press the clutch so hard. It's almost like pressing it to the fullest and then a little more.

Second issue:
Just started hearing a loud squeaking noise everytime I clutch down to shift (all gears). Like a squeaky belt. Only when I clutch down though. Prior to this there was a slight continuous squeaky mouse-like noise but not when I was clutching down, but when I reach to 4th (driving) gear. However when I slightly pressed/ taped the clutch pedal it went away but came back after a few moments.

Could that have been the start of waht I am hearing now. Anyone has an idea what is happening.

Thanks

Research throw out bearing. Usually when it goes bad the primary shaft in the transmission is going bad too and needs to have new bearings. Since the transmission has to be pulled back to change the bearing, it's no big deal to drop the tranny and have a new bearing put in it along with a new seal. You'll also want to install a new pilot bearing. It's not near as bad as it sounds but it isn't a freeby either. I'd replace the clutch and pressure plate if it were me and then you know exactly what you have but both might still be good.

Never forget the slave cylinder along with all that. Been there done that. I redid a clutch in a 90 f150 I had and a couple moonths later had to pull the tranny again to replace the slave..
