How much CFM???

My buddy has a e-fan off a taurus I believe, one of the strongest stock fans out there.. it pushes like 3400 CFM... would that one be enough for my truck??? its the same size, if not bigger than the stock fan... I think it would cool just fine.. It would be temporary til I could get a sweet dual fan setup..

Yes, that would do the job just fine. I'd bet the stock clutch fan doesn't pull much more than that. Why would that be temp?

Keep the mechanical fan, and install a pusher fan in front wired to a relay to kick on when you turn on the A/C.

Be careful about setting one aside for "only" when the AC is running. One fan on a dual set up may not be enough to cool in all situations. You may have times when you want both fans running without the AC being on.

look into a mark VIII fan, they pull around 4000cfm and are at your local junkyard for cheap. I used to have a taurus fan and it did keep the engine cool....but it had to work very hard when it was hot outside.

rule of thumb is 10cfm for 1 hp.. 10hp needs 100cfm 3400cfm supports 340hp. but being as ur not making 340hp off idle.. 3400cfm is plenty.

So I need 5940cfm to cool my truck?

Now you made me curyeos. I had to look it up.
Supposedly my kit will put out 6000cfm with both fans running. But I don't think the one has ever come on except with the ac running.

The one in the link I just posted is cheaper, has 16" fans compared to 15" on your link and puts out 500 more cfm.

But the other one is nicer

but seriously does it come with a fan controller(I think I read that it does it is just that I dont feel like reading seeing as it is 1:20 in the am here) but also I read something about the thermostats and am wondering how it will work with a thermostat that is at 160, it is a performance one, I bought it because it is consistantly reaching 105+ degrees here

how ever it has to be better that what i have right now(1 hayden e-fan for the radiator pulling 1100ish CFMs and one smaller hayden e-fan directly in front of it pushing air through the condensor rated at about 900 CMF)
