I have a 05 F150 Screw w/ a 5.4. It has 65k miles. I also have an Edge w/ the Tranny tune loaded. Today I was passing a car and at WOT the truck almost died. It cut out so bad I barely made it around the car. It's never done this before. Anyone have any ideas?

 

first things first, take the edge out and see if it helps or not. do you have a cai? was it ever tuned up? and with what brand plugs? and was dielectric grease used? 05 5.4 engines had a bad batch of fuel injectors, they warrantied them up to 100000 miles, i'd have them checked. has the fuel filter ever been changed? and how long ago?

 

The fuel filter would be my first look.
