Diesel engines not available in 2010

I just viewed this and about fell out of my chair. According to this the big 6 will not offer diesel engines to any of its' vehicles after this year. I don't know if I am hearing right, but that would be the end of the PSD. Help me out here and watch this and tell me I am wrong.

That's pretty crazy but how credible is that show? I've never even seen or heard of it.

What about the scorpian project are they going to scrap that?
I don't think Ford will.
2012 is a big year for the epa they are going to be clamping down more on the diesels.
All mfgrs are trying to get everything compliant. Diesels are and will always be a big target for the epa.

The only 2 makes I know of that still run diesels in autos is mercedes and vw. I don't think those 2 fall into the "big six"?

man i hope that astin martin that that vid showed toyota making doesnt hit the streets. that thing is just hideous. and yea i highly dought they will dancel the diesels in trucks. its either they keep making diesels or they will have to really boost the torque in there gas engines and just pray that they pull off some kind of fuel mileage.
