If you are doing a CAI, you need custom tunes. That has to be either the Gryphon or the Xacl3. The Edge tunes are for stock intakes.

Is your '09 STX a 2 valve or 3 valve 4.6? The 3 valve has over 292 hp which means your right up there with the '04 to '08 5.4 trucks.

I'm gettin an AF1 intake off the troyer performance site in around 2 or 3 weeks my friend said I should get a throttle body spacer while im at it, but i have heard they are junk and dont really do much. Anyone know anything bout them? Anyways I know the Efans run around 400 dollars dont know how much power you get from them but more air is more power

Unless your going to run nitrous, don't bother with the spacer. I didn't know they were still selling AF1's, they went out of business a few months ago.

I wonder the same thing. Has anybody tried to put a set of ported heads on these 4.6's? I'm looking at the mustang forums and I can't see why it would be much of a difference to use some of thier parts on our trucks. That said, I could be very wrong. How many performance gains can we pull over from the mustang crowd?

The reason I bring this up is that I have a 95 GT Mustang that I've taken the 5.0 out of, and I'm looking at giving some of the performance parts I had for it, to my roommate. That got me thinking, how come it's not the same for the 4.6 mill.

Anybody have any experience with any of this?

Several parts are interchangeable, but you have to have the correct block. I think all Romeo engine have interchangeable parts while Windsors only have a few. You can swap 4 valve Cobra heads onto the truck 4.6, but this requires custom tuning and lots of wiring and plumbing to make it all work.

About 15 hp.

Depends on the set up.

Wrong exhaust. The 5four will get three truck lengths on yuh from the line. Put your stock set-up back on there and you should keep up much better. Well, as long as your not pulling a load - Not much would help you then, -against the 5four.

Or, you can take her to the Dyno and get tuned. I doubt the edge, canned tunes will do it justice with those pipes. You need a custom tune as it stands.

If you just like the looks of the Edge and pod functions, -your good.

If you just like a nice sounding loud exhaust, -your good.

Thanks for the advice, I'll take a look into things and see what I might be able to come up with
