What would you do for more power ?

If you wanted a little more umph from a stock 5.4L and could only do one thing, what would it be and why? I am in my first F150 and want to do a few things that are affordable to improve the performance, but not looking to create a monster. I know there are numerous ways to improve performance, but what would you do first?

The first thing and really only thing I've done is get a gryphon tuner. I think thats the thing that needs to be done first so if you do any other mods you can tune them in fairly easy, I've also heard you can tune out the lag in the throttle response on 04+ engines

x2 tuner, definitely. Stock programs on these trucks really leave a lot of potential untapped.

Cold air intake (enclosed box) and exuast. cai will help allot with the throttle responce. I have 08 lariat and volant cai with power core fitler and wow what a difference in the responce. Now just need a programer to to fine tune it.

well exhaust is always the first thing i worry about
but i would do efans, long tube headers, and muffler and cats, cai, then tuner, then gears and shift kit. if thats not enough then add some boost.

and if thats still not enough then i'd consider some weight reduction. is it 2 or 4 wheel drive?

If I did it all over again, supercharger first.

Start with a tune and go from there.
