Intake cleaners
Im at the local jiffy lube and they have a special going on the gumout professional fuel injector and intake cleaner. It seems to be similar to the bg brand system. My question: do these really work? Is it worth it?

If it contains polyether amine, it's a good cleaner. Gumout calls it Regane. If it doesn't have that on the fact sheet, look for Stoddard Solvent. If you don't find either of those, it ain't worth havin'.

My local Ford dealer does BG for 65 bucks.

Thanks for the info. I havent had it done yet,but i may try going to the dealer because even with the sale jiffy lube wants 100 bucks for the service.
