OK I have a Major Problem.... PLEASE help me...

first i am not sure where this should go so I posted here...

I had a problem that with the codes everyone was thinking the throttle body needed to be cleaned, So I finally took it all off and I found a big hole in the hose at the back (closest to the cab) I got that hose and another hose and started replacing things.

HERE IS THE PROBLEM. on the back drivers side I have a port and I can not find any hose that goes on it. The port is on the drivers side points towards the driver and it goes straight thru to the butterfly thing. I am not able to post pics right now but does anyone have a clue from what i have said with out the pics?

sorry, it is a 2002 F150 Super Crew, 4.6Lv8

A is the port I can not find the hose for,

B is where my problem was (i hope) the Throttle body looked ok but the hose(at b) was a 90degree angle hose and it had a hole in it. I hope that is all there is

also the two holes in front is where my EGR goes. Didn't want to put back on until I find that hose.

thanks

Possibly the dpfe ? Don't remember what it looks like. Just used to my motor. The newer 5.4 are simple. A lot less vacuum lines.

Correct me if I am wrong, BUT, doesn't the #A go to the brake booster for vacuume?

#B is a problem child with many of us. That was MOST LIKELY where the problem was...

I am trying to think about it from my 98, but so much is different.

Next time label them when you take them off.

I will try to find some pics, but, I only have a 98 (4.6) and a 08 (5.4) diagram.

I think A = brake booster
B= PCV The hose routes around to the passenger side valve cover.

A is the brake booster and B is the PCV system. You should have some black plastic hose that runs from the passenger side valve cover to B. In the valve cover there should be a PCV valve. Shake it and it should rattle.

Just a note about the DPFE. The silver rectangle with two black rubber hoses. They are of different diameter. Make sure you look closely at the Sensor to see which nipple is the larger and install the correct hose to it.

Ok B does go to the passenger side Value cover, I posted b, because the as it goes into the housing, it had a 90 degree hose with the hole, it was only an FYI thing

A is the problem hose/port, a, the brake booster, where does that hose come from that is the one I am unable to find.

thanks for your help guys

It goes to the big black round black brake booster behind the master cylinder. It should connect to a plastic 90 degree connector. The one on mine is light blue. But I have seen several different colors. It is the check valve for the vacuum booster

Right! Plugs into the check-valve on the booster. It's your "Brakes" -air assist line.

Ok I got all of the hoses back on, so I fired er up, is runs somewhat smooth, but when first taking off, I get a lag, and when going from drive to reverse I get a lag, after the lag it is sorta a jump as it goes into movement. I had it die and then it took a few mins to get it going again.
