V10 will not start

I have a V10 in a F53 chassis that has been sitting for about a month. Went to start it and it turns over fine but will not start. Fuel pump is pumping, have pressure at the fuel rails (not sure how much), but it seems adequate. If I spray a short burst of starting fluid in the intake it fires up, but quits when the starting fluid is gone. I sprayed A small amount of gas in the intake and it did not fire. Pulled the cop off of #10 and put a test spark plug in the boot and turned it over and did not see any spark. Engine has always started immediately. Checked for codes and none are stored. What will kill the spark to all cylinders? Does this engine have enough compression to cause starting fluid to ignite without spark?

how many miles on the motor? id vote for new COP's and spark plugs and it'll prob fire up.

how are all the connections on the COP's? Also check the relays and fuses for the igntion. a bad relay or fuse can deff cause all of them not to fire.

its not enough to have pressure you have to have MINIMUM of about 35psi at the Rail. Did you use a gauge? Did you check the specifications? Sounds like a bad fuel filter to me..

Check the fuel pressure with a gauge and rule out that problem.

Have you pulled any of the plugs to see how they look?

How much gas is in the tank?

Pulled #10 plug and it is clean. Tank is 3/4 full and generator cranks and runs fine. I will get a fuel pressure reading tomorrow, and replace the fuel filter as well. Do you know where I can get a service manual (preferably on CD) for the 99' F53 stripped chassis?

A spark plug is not going to fire if it's not grounded.

She is back up and running... a critter (probably of the rodent variety) had chewed the crank position sensor cable in two. Spliced it back together and she cranked right up.. May thanks for the help.

I've had the critter problem before. I keep poison attached to my fender wells now.

Congratulations on finding the problem.
