5.4 Help needed

Ok first i have a 2006 F150 with the 5.4 in it. It has 62,XXX miles and i had to take it to ford and they said when my oil heats up and lose all oil pressure and they don't know why or how it happen. When it heats up the engine does a safety shut down. Anyone else with this problem or can tell me what happen.... thanks for your time

does it lose oil pressure on the gauge or does it actually start to knock? what do you mean when your oil heats up? do you mean like it overheats or just when its getting to operating temp?

No the guage says it does but the guys at ford said that it doesn't have enough. And no it doesn't knock. When the oil gets to operating temp.

Did you or ford pull any codes out of the pcm?
What kind of oil you using?(Oem or something else)
Pull the dipstick, feel the oil with your fingers, check the level. Oil clean or dirty/gritty?

On your "safety shutdown", are you talking about the gas pedal does nothing, and the wrench light comes on? Don't tell me you're taking it to Wynne! If the light comes on, there IS a code. Most likely due to the pedal and the throttle body not seeing things eye to eye. Probably a bad throttle body assy. Bring it to me at Bowditch and ask for Robbie on the Red Team, that is if it is under a warranty. If no warranty, come to my house at half the dealer cost. Oh, the engine will run if at zero oil pressure.

Nope never pulled a code or the light came on. The only thing that happen was the check gauge alarm came on. Oil was from the dealership and it was fine not dirty. And the sfatey shutdown was the whole truck shut itself off. And yes i took it to Wynne ford and they are putting a new motor in but i was wanting to know how it happen.
