random misfire code

This is my first post, and I'd like to thank you all for posting some very useful info. I have a 06 f150 5.4 w/ 30k on the ticker. Yesterday I was going down the highway, when it randomly started bucking. I figured it was a misfire. The CEL light came on (blinking), stayed on constant, and sometimes shut off (when under no load it seemed). I did a search of this problem (many were on here) and it seemed the general consensus is that you should replace the cops and the plugs. However I am a little concerned that they would only last 30k miles. Luckily the truck is still under warranty and I took it to the shop. They had it for the day and said that they couldn't find the problem yet. I thought maybe you could let me know what other problems it could be. I also read that it could be a vaccuum leak in the air intake, so I had asked the service tech, and he said they checked for that and it wasn't the problem. Neither was the fuel pressure. Thanks in advance!

Get the codes pulled and post them here. If you had gone to a dealer service department they would have been able to fix it most likely under the warranty... I only take my stuff to the dealer now after years of trying to get stuff fixed cheap i ended up figuring out that I was paying more to have it fixed wrong. If I cant fix it now it goes to the people who are trained to fix it..

a vacuum leak is most noticeable at idle so i dought thats it. with only 30k i dought you'll need plugs. how olds the fuel filter? fuel pressure may be good but volume may not.

Thanks guys.....
The codes were p0300 random misfire, 3 codes for different individual misfire cylinders, and a code for it misfiring within the 1st thousand r.p.m.'s. The dealer is saying that there is water in the fuel, and the problem has worked itself out. I put in a bottle of the gas treatment for water in the gas and i'll see if that will stop it. Would it be wise to put that in with every or every other fill up, or is that hard on the engine? Thanks again for your responses.

I'd find a different gas station.
