Question Dipstick for 351M

Lol I'm gonna go way back here for a question reffering to a 79' F-150 with a 351m... I need to replace the dipstick but have yet to get time to mess with it. I've seen that dipsticks in most Chevy's slip in a rubber grommet like thing but I noticed when installing headers that my dipstick came to bolt in the oil pan. Would I need to unscrew this to remove the dipstick or will the dipstick just pull out? With the new headers installed it'd be a pain to get a wrench down there but I didn't wanna just start yanking on stuff... Dumb question I know lol.

The dipstick just pulls out, like all dipsticks. The dipstick TUBE is held in by the nut on the pan.
