couple problems

I have a couple issues happening here. . . I have a 06 king ranch 4x4

1) When I start my truck it initially does not sound good for just a second. It smooths out after being on a sec but im not sure what it could be.
2) when Im gaining speed my truck will slip or miss... just for a split second then move on fine.

3) Im at 100,000 miles and need to hit the major maintance spots im sure since other than changing my oil, air filter and tranny fluid i have not done much else ...

Im sure my plugs are in need of changing.. belt and hoses.

what else should be done ?

well, your start up noise, does it sound like a rattle/knocky sound? what kinda oil filter do you use, stay away from fram, use moto master, wix or purolator, 100k is time for new spark pugs, that might be the reason you feel the miss, prepare to spend up to a grand to get those replaced on your truck because they have the problem of them snaping off in the head. have you changed any flluids in your truck becides the oil? because at 100 you should change everything if you havent. you probaby wana clean your throttle body and mass airflow sensor, replace fuel filter for sure, think thats about it unless anyone else can think of more.

o sorry, I did changed the fuel filter a couple days ago.

start up noise is kinda a rattle/knocky sound. I have been using fram and pennz oil.

How do the plugs break off in the head ? when they go to take them off ? I was going to change them myself.

had the same problem with my 05 but it was the cat. interior of it was loose and the missing was the cat not doing its job and causing the 02's to send the wrong signal.

i would change the plugs anyway.

At 100k Id change/check all my fluids, dont skimp on anything, if it has fluid, check it/change it. Get a Haynes manual if you really are unsure, VERY helpful for tune-up maintenance, and pretty much walks through everything on the vehicle.

What exactly is wrong with the FRAM oil filters? I have one installed, have had no problems so far, but I havent been using em for too long either with my Pennzoil.
