engine weight

I'm asking this question for a friend hes building a 94 Toyota Tacoma pre runner and he wants a v8 in it. he has 4 engines in mind but the thing is hes looking for the lightest engine possible 289, 302, 351 or a Chevy 350 and hes going carb i told him all of those engine would cost the same to build and now he just wants to know which once is lighter. with all our friends being chevy guys everyone said go 350 but i told him i will try to find out which one is really lighter. he wants to know asap so he could start his build and any input would help.
Thanks
Mike

i think the 289 and 302 are lighter than the 350. theres nothing to the 302 and 289. not so sure about the 351 weigth wise but its not heavy. why use the lightest engine? i'd go with the 351 over all of them but thats because you can do more to it then the rest.

o same here that's what I'm building a 351W hes just going for the lighter engine because weight is a issue when your going to be jumping a truck and he wants something with some go that little 22re isn't cutting it for him. he wants all motor no turbo/s charger hes thinking 300-350hp and i told him that would be easy to get with either one of those engines.

Basic research shows me that a Ford 289 long block weighs 465, a Ford 302 long block weighs 485, a 351W long block weighs 530, and a Chevy 350 long block weighs 520. This is with stock iron parts.
