Click...

here we go again. the old farm truck we have is giving problems. 1987 f150 5.8L. turn the key and it just makes a click sound, not the dead battery kind of clicking just a click , tried jumping it and all. the click sounded like it was coming from starter solenoid so we replaced that and same thing. it was just doign fine until one day we got in it and now this sound. what else should we check/replace? any help would be great! thanks

Sounds like the starter itself of the cables going to it. Check out the starter first.

I would say, possibly the cables or ends. If it's a brand new stater can you jump it on the bench and it works?
