Engine vibrating while at idle?
Engine vibrating while at idle?
Hey everyone,
This is my first post on this forum. But im hoping to get some help with my 02 F150. Over the last few weeks iv noticed that when i put my truck in park and it idles every few seconds it gives a rough vibration. The truck only has 52,000 miles on it and i have changed the oil and air filter and all that religiously.
I thought maybe a motor mount broke? But im not a certified machanic and am not certain. I was wondering if maybe someone on here ran into the same issue at some point.
Also, this has only happened once but i was cruising down the road at 55mph in the overdrive gear and i let off the gas and the truck like studdered then just went back to normal. ALmost as if the clutch didnt disengage.. it has not done it since but it was really weird and deff wasent a normal thing the truck should do. Any ideas about that?
Thanks in advance

check the pcv elbow. it is an "L" shaped rubber tube that comes off the back of the throttle body. check for cracks, splits, etc. if you find anything then replace it.
also might want to look into cleaning the throttle body and iac. i believe good info on that can be found in the technical articles link.
