Stock Air Intake

So since I got my truck, (3 weeks now) there had been a buzzing infront of the drivers seat, but under the hood. I could hear it outside the truck, and especially when i would be pulling out at low speeds, then it would seem to go away one i got up to speed. On friday afternoon I was cleaning my truck under the hood after school and checked the intake, and it was not fully pushed in the fender hole. I pushed it in, and it has a bit of play, but the noise stopped thank god. Has anyone else had this problem?

It could be that the previous owner had an aftermarket intake on it and reinstalled the stock intake before selling, possibly not getting it completely into position. Just a thought.

The guy was 72 and said he had never looked under the hood, so I'm not sure that would be the case, but you never know. It doesn't seem to be an issue anymore, so I was curious if they had a tendancy of popping out. Thanks for the input guys

No, I don't think it's a tendancey, first time I've heard of anyone having the problem. The guys age doen't mean too much, I'm 65 and plan on modding and hot rodding well past 72. Thanks for the compliment. I really like the wheels myself.

wait.... I see the problem already, if you take that 24 sticker off the back i'm sure it will run much better. thats probably what the buzzing was!!! it was the truck telling you to get that chevy drivers' sticker off of me
