switching to synthetic oil

hey, i've got a 2000 f150 5.4 with just over 200,000 miles on it, and it still runs great, right now i use castrol gxt 5w30 in it and in 5000k it only uses about .5L would it be ok to switch to full synthetic or is it not a good idea?

If I were you, I'd stick with what you've been doing! Synthetics tend to clean away deposits very well, & after 200,000 miles, I'll bet that you have some, then you could get some leaks using a Synthetic!

if it aint broke, don't fix it! with over 200,000 on your truck, you're definitely doing something right. why change now?
