oil pressure sensor wont fit
oil pressure sensor wont fit
Hey guys, this is only my 3rd post, but yesterday I got laid off so today I wanted to get my truck running again. I have a 99 F150 5.4 which originally had the remote oil filter. Well that adapter cracked so I went to the dealership to get the revised adapter where the filter mounts just above the front diff.
Well heres the problem.....I cant get the oil pressure sensor on because the port for the sensor is on the front of the adapter facing the front of the engine and theres a flange coming off of the block thats preventing me from screwing the sensor in. Ive tried putting the sensor on first, but then I cant get to the bolt behind it to bolt the adapter on. I mean the sensor absolutley will not go on in that position. And wont screw into the port with a plug on the bottom cuz i would hit the diff.
Is this the wrong part? Or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for the help
