1998 f150 hydrolock help????

1998 f150 hydrolock help????

hi just got a 1998 f150 4.2. engine built date is 3-3-98 am i safe? i read after 1-15-98 all good but then read after 5-98 good? whos right for sure? im going nuts

After 1-15-98 you are good. Thats what was quoted in FORD TSB on this issue. But keep this in mind. Check your coolant level in the overflow bottle when the motor is cold. Top it up to the Cold fill mark, after that check it every day for about 2 weeks. if you notice the level going down and there are no visible leaks then you may be starting to have the leaking issue with the Timing cover gasket.

the timing cover gasket was fixed i heard mid 1997

so for 100% sure engines built after 1-15-98 are all good then???? im going nuts about this
