How many miles is too many for performance?

I have a 04 with around 60,000 miles on the original 4.6. Should I be worried about doing anything to it to make more horsepower? Are there any common mods that will be easy to do like cam and head swaps?

I'd do a leak test prior to supercharger or turbo installation

but as far as the "gotts intake", exhaust, e-fans, shif tkit and a tune you should be fine.

has the truck had regular maintainence

60K is nothing. My 4.6 wasn't modded til it had 82.5K on it. Sold it with 125K with even more mods on it. Still running good 2 years later.

Heads and cams are not a common swap for these motors and are nowhere near easy on these...

Don't know about maintainence, bought this truck used. It is throwing a CEL code that has something to do with the MAF/baro sensor and "range performance". What could cause that?

Pull out your MAF and clean it with a Sensor cleaner, Re-set the PCM and see if it comes back.
