Coolant drain plug on engine block? 82 F150 6 cyl 4.9L 300ci

pardon the simple question here, couldn't find it by searching the archives.

i want to know if and where there is a antifreeze coolant drain plug on the engine block of my 82 Ford F150 with a 6 cylinder 300 ci engine.

i've gone over the engine several times but may have missed it.

thx, eric.

i'm pretty sure yours is on the right side of the block, between the last 2 freeze plugs.

You don't have to pull any drain, and it would probably strip or break if you tried. Just let the engine cool, disconnect the hose from the heater core (the one connected to the intake manifold), route it in a safe direction, put a water hose in the radiator, start the engine, and let it go until it comes out clear. Then shut it all off, pull the lower radiator hose to drain, put it back, refill with mixed coolant, and reconnect the heater hose last.

.
