Does anyone know what years the 5.4L is compatible with a 99 Expy. My oil pump went out going down the freeway and I didnt notice the light on and now I need a new engine, Thought about buying a longblock and installing but also looking at buying a low mileage at a insurance auction to replace and add some missing optional components to my expy.

Any help appreciated.

 

any 97-03 5.4 will bolt right in. the 99+ 5.4's have pi heads which had more power which is what your engine has. 97 and 98 didnt have the pi heads and werent as strong, but they will still work if you just wanted something that runs.
