Faulty COP ?

I have an '03 4.6 4x4 screw, 101,000mi, plugs done by dealer
7,000mi ago. was running fine, turned it off, went into store, came
out, started it up and could tell immediately something was wrong.
a bit of a "miss" like it's on 7 cylinders. when in Park, slowly bring revs
up and at 4400rpm a miss/burp/cough [take your pick] occurs.

Is this what every one refers to went speaking of replacing the COPs?

Anyone that 'slowly' brings a motor to 4400 rpm has go to be out in left field some place.
What a way to test!
A miss at idle or low rpm is still a miss at 4400 rpm. What did you learn from it?

Ha,Ha, I learned that it misses at 4400 rpm. If it was a motorcycle I'd have
better luck, I don't know much about computers and engines--thats why I like this site--I always get an answer and a good laugh--Thanks guys
