Damage to piston

I recently had to pull my heads and on one of the piston heads there is some damage there is two indentations (gashes) about a 16th deep from a helicoil that fell inside of the motor and the motor was turned over while it was in there.

My question is how thick are the piston heads and should I replace it or will it be ok,

Thanks

The bigger question is was it enough to bend a rod. If not and depending on how picky you are you could blend it smooth and let it ride. If you leave it as is the sharp edges could cause a hot spot. This will couse detonation (bad). Need to check the head and valve seats also.
