Cant read codes from OBII port.

I have a CEL and took it to 2 different locations to have them check it, they both say that i dont have any power to the port. What could be the problem, how else can I find the codes? And they both use the same code reader. Thanks

You didn't say which truck or year... but the problem is most likely a blown fuse. Check your owner's manual or Google or wherever to find the fuse location. A guess would be fuse #3 under the dash.

Believe it is the same fuse as ciggy lighter. Check the lighter and if it doesn't work, there's your problem.

Power port and OBDII connector are on the same fuse, separate from cigarette lighter, IIRC. Did you check fuse 3 under the dash?
