Need input!!
I have a 75 F-100 with a 428 CJ I want to replace with a newer fuel injected and need to know somewhere to start. Like what would be a good donor motor/trans and other necissary modes needed to complete the job?
holley and a couple other companies make electric fuel injection kits that are similar to carbs. just something to think about.
if you want a big block then a fuel injected 460/7.5 will be a good idea which you can pull out of any pickup with one. you'll need the pcm with it. and tranny wise i'd go with a 5 speed manual but if you want automatic then i'd prefer the c6 but the e40d is the only automatic with o/d that the 460 had.
they still had the 429 in some of the older work trucks.
small block- the 351 windsor. with either a 5 speed manual, c6 auto, or the e40d.
what tranny do you currently have in it? you may need to change the bellhousing if you go with a small block.
