Aftermarket COP's
Yea, that was #2 = Your #1
- But yea, it sucks getting a bad product, then going thru the whodang on getting replacement - THEN having to replace it. Leaves yuh with a big question mark about rest of your ignition system using their products.
You can get a bad coil from anyone. That's for sure. I know I know, Global shafted you in making good on the warranty. - They took long enough and need better consumer relations. That was just bad business and you definitely have a right to be p^ssed.Thank You
Lets hope Uneek don't mess up or their in for a sh^t storm
I warned the owner, customer service has to be top priority when it comes to selling auto parts - They have a long way to go to catch up to Global. Not as long as you think. Uneek has been around for almost 7 years and has thousands of COP's sold. Because of my problem is the reason they are being talked about now. In the past, everyone bought Global because it was the only Ebay option to this forum (me being one of them). Members on this forum follow each others advice and at the time Global was the advice given(again, me being one of them). I will add, it was good advice for a long time until they ticked the wrong customer off. Me
I am glad that members have an alternate option now and seem to be buying more Uneek than Global's, (no bashing intended with that statement-honestly). With more competition, maybe Global will straiten up a bit and not ruin a good thing.I agree 100%, In doing the math, Global is recieving a 4 to 1 ratio of negative feedbacks recieved compared to Uneek. That says alot when your making Ebay purchases.

Personally, I think most all coils come from one supplier. - http://www.nan-long.com/index.htm

I've got Motor blues in my truck and globals in the van and I will never buy a "performance cop" again waste of money the globals are every bit as good.
Just put Globals in my V10 after reading the posts from a couple different forums ... including this one. All good after 1K miles. Cost savings is nice as well. $100 for a set of 10. Good stuff.
It's done for now. Yea , I should go back to work. Ran into a few guys that were working out by you - Louis County this is about 2-3 hrs north of me. Outragous snow and cold up there every year. They have been known to get 3-5 ft of snow in one storm at least once a year. They measure snow up there by how many inches an hour not for one night, no joke., we had a good size project going out their for awhile. Cost of living must be pretty high,Always has been. As far as Northeast, we are better off here then Mass. and Conn. those guys were cashing in - Per Diem checks, outrageous.

Never heard of them. Neither has google.
Probably repackaged cheap e-bay coils.
The BWD coils I buy are made by Borg Warner. It is their premium line which seems to be about the same as NAPA's better stuff.
We have four F150s with 5.4l that all have over 80k (one has 191k) on them. I don't think I have replaced more than two coils on any single truck but all have had at least one replaced.
So far the BWD coils seem to be as good as the factory ones. They look like they are better made when sitting side to side and they feel like they weigh a bit more.
All in all I am happy with them as I haven't had any of them go bad. I'm not to happy with Ford as I think ign coils should last damn near forever like they used to.

Ok so this is the deal i just took a 100mile round trip with the new cops and plugs the money im gonna save from the better mpg is gonna repay for this repair in NO TIME AT ALL,
I cant believe how much better gas mileage im getting ATM its like night and day!
Sorry for the picture quality, anyway
this is a picture of the COP its ziptied i cant see the hole they drilled but its still pretty loose. I hope it will be ok, aslong as it doesent move up and loose its connection with the plug.

Picture of the plugs look pretty bad huh?

My father's 2001 5.4 needs new COPs do to a shop leaving the hood off of his truck for awhile while it was raining. We were going to get the Accel COPs from Summit, but those are a no-no? Curious why?

yea dont use accel. some of them are bad coming off the shelves. a guy i met a while ago said something like performance coils are strictly for performance not so much for reliability.
Looking at these Global ones on eBay (Global Coil Packs), it seems like if there were a problem it would be a PITA to get one replaced. Just looking for my best-bet option from the get go.
