Code P2072?

I was messing with my Gryphon and found I had Code P2072 thrown. It says "Throttle actuator control (TAC) system- ice breakage."

Can anyone tell me what this means and what I need to do.

Well , I don't know that much about it - I've heard it coming up before in later model cars and some needed a re-calibration. I'm pretty sure it has to be done via laptop w/the latest calibration,- if I'm recalling it right. And, it's probably not just the car-lines that's effected. I haven't heard of the 150's with this problem.

Did you try dumping the DTC and/re-booting ? I would definitely give that a try first. Maybe the PCM got a little buggy at some point and locked on that one.

This is another language to me.

How do I go about re-booting? I know how to clear the code on the Gryphon but not re-boot.

Re- booting is clearing the KAM (Keep Alive Memory) - Computer relearns thru it's adaptive strategies. Sorta of like re-booting your home computer when sh^t stops working properly.

With a tuner, you return to stock, then disconnect the battery for about 15-20 minutes.

If it comes back - A call to Bill or Corey might help. The Gryphon should have that capability to see what monitors have run after reboot. I would keep the stock setting until at least all have run but the EVAP. Sometimes the EVAP monitor takes time. Have at least 3/4 tank of petrol when doing this, you'll have better luck.

Was your CEL on before the code recognized by you ? Or was it just in the tuners scan ?

If just in the tuner scan, then I would call the PHP. That probably should have been first , sorry ..

I returned to stock settings then went back the towing tune aswell as clear the code. Since then I put on 100 miles and it hasn't come back up yet, if it does I'll cal PHP and figure this out.
