Out of control vibration
Idunno , I would have to say the rear gear oil may be one problem. @ 120k, that's about when it goes south and the modifier brakes down to a point of vibration. That vibration van be real bad above 50 mph when that happens - I been in a truck with that problem.
You got the CEL to blink when pushing the motor ? Almost sounds like you have two problems - Ignition and rear gear fluid, you might want to pull the rear shaft and give her a fresh coat of teflon grease. Other than that it's hard to say, but there's good posts above once you weed out the bad ones
Also, check your EGR valve operation. The valve operates at high cruising speeds and may be hanging given your milage. She will thro a fit if it is.
Good Luck.

My head is now spinning with all this new information. This vibration mostly happens on long highway smooth hills, accelerating from 80 kmh and holding down the gas pedal till it would hit 145 kmh. I wanted to see if the engine would fail under extreme passing/load. Not that i do this at all the time, but i just wanted to put it to the test. Sorry that i didn't tell everyone that it was in fact my engine light, and not the wrench light that was flashing. The vibrating first starts from underneath kinda and it won't go away until i reduce my speed to 60 or 70 kmh. The coils might be it too, but they said they would know which one if any is failing. I had a little Chevy S10 long time ago, it kinda did the same thing, a mechanic said it was my emergency brake cable sticking. I said WTF! my emergency brake cable? And dammit, he fixed it by replacing the cable. But i don't think its that this time. Parts are so over priced up here in Canada, you guys don't know how luck you are buying parts down there, we get in the *** + 14% taxes!
It is a COP issue. I have the exact same issue and same experiance as you ( except the wrench light comes on before the CEL). The only way the dealer can figure this out is to road test it, and as hard as I tried, they won't sit in the truck with me over 110km/hr. Something about WCB. I had to get a guy to jump in the truck after work. Anyway the problem is not first apparent due to the overwhelming issues the computuer picks up. Interestingly enough no error codes get thrown. The COP starts to fail and causes a chain recation of events, from cams rolling back to idle position, fuel mixture going rich and the the engine goes into safe mode.
Hope this helps
Wow, so replace all your coils, plugs and gear oil, replace the park brake cables, torque your ubolts (actually a good idea if springs were added but should have been retorqued by the installers already), check you fan blades, check your ujoints and don't forget to climb out and check your egr operation. That should run you a couple bucks.
You are talking about a problem that only happens at 145kph. That is 90mph for you friends down south. I have never EVER seen an engine problem that is ROAD speed dependent. Load yes, rpm yes but not road speed. The only think that your engine will react to for road speed is the governor the factory puts on the trucks due to the tire rating. If you can't get it to repeat the problem related to RPM or engine load I highly doubt it is engine related. Go get your tires balanced. It will cost ya maybe $50 bucks. Be sure there is no abnormal wear on them either. It is possble that when the leafs were added your axle was put out of alignment slightly. You should see this as tire wear. If it still does it after that at least you know ya got good tires. As far as the CEL or wrench light flashing.... really it is likely that shaking that bad is just causing your computer to say WTF?
But hey you don't have to do what I say or anyone else. I am just offering you my 12 years as a mechanic and what I know.

killer, welcome.
Now, understand that here they've been told to throw plugs and cops at everything from oil consumption concerns to heater problems to squealing belts.
It's the fix for everything at F150Online.
But, we/I could use a new point of view from time to time. Especially if it comes from real life experience.

I believe it to be the COP's too Sheppard69. Because it did happen once doing only 95kph and again climbing a hill. And yes i also believe killernotfiller that it goes into a safe mode, i guess do to miss-firing from hamering it down. Just trying to get this all done before i lower it, more friggin money! Thanks for all your inputs guys. Cheers Al
