CA vs 49 State Trucks

Has anyone actually done any real/dyno performance testing to see if there is any impact from the emisssions on a California truck vs the other 49 trucks? I'm curious if it's worth the hassle to get a 49 state truck over a CA truck.

I would not every buy a CA specific anything, I just think those hippies out there think way too much of themselves to require manufacturers to regulate more. It is as if their superior state is so much better than the rest of us. One day I hope that whole state and its associated tectonic plate ill just fall off of the rest of the country, lol. /END RANT I would imagine spark aresters on lawn mowers do not really effect performance, but different emissions stuff on a truck may.

Don't they have a smog pump or something like that on their vehicles?

CA is not the only state to use CA emissions standards now.
