Put a filter in lately? If not do that. Then with a gauge check the fuel pressure.

To further explain on how to check the fuel pressure, If you have access to a fuel pressure gauge, you can hook it up to the schrader valve that is part of the fuel rail. The fuel rail is the rail that runs over the top of your fuel injectors. Loosen the cap off the schrader valve, attach the gauge by threading on the knurled fitting from the gauge to the schrader valve. Turn ignition on and see what pressure you are reading. I don't know what your pressure should me because I just looked for my manuals and they are in a box somewhere. (remodeling done, but still looking for things, )
By the way, did you open up your access door where you fuel it up and then pull the gas cap and listen to see if the fuel pump is running. If there is not alot of noise (prefer no noise), you should be able to here the pump engage with key forward but engine not started. Again, no manuals handy, but you can check your fuel pump relay by switching it out with a matched one that is in your "under hood fuse panel or relay panel". Someone on here just posted which ones can be switched out. If you still have your glove-box Ford manual, it will show you which one is your fuel pump relay. You can match the info and numbers with another one and temporarly switch them out to remove the possibility of a bad relay.

In order:
(1) can you hear fuel pump engage at gas tank fill opening. If you can hear it engage, change fuel filter and then check fuel pressure. If not, go to step 2
(2) check for bad relay, if relay is ok then you will have to drop the tank and pull the fuel pump. Been there and done it, not to bad of a job. My fuel pump was fine, tank was leaking.

This will get you started. There are other members who will add more info I'm sure.
Good luck with it.
