i have a 06 with a 5.4 i have not had the truck long and already had to replace the battery. tonight my truck would not start and it acted like the battery was dead but still would not even turn over click or anything after we had it jumped. has anyone had this problem or have any ideas to what the problem could be?

i had the same problem in my ranger, i bought a new battery from ABC and my truck still wouldnt start so i took the battery back after getting jump started and they replaced it because it had a bad cell then it worked just fine

Battery

The first thing to do is check all connections on the battery circuit. Not just the battery terminals but all the connections downstream, meaning the ground straps, positive connections on the firewall, etc. A jumped battery should give you something unless it's completely shorted out. By the way, where did you buy the battery? It wasn't Walmart was it? Not meaning to slam Walmart, but I once got 2 bad batteries in row from them.

I gaurantee you, it's the battery. Mine was starting, running fine. Stopped at a store, came back out and nothing. Not even interior lights. Tried a boost, it bumep once. Put a new battery on and all is fine. It was only 35 months old.
