PROBLEM with a engine swap

Ok here it goes i have a 1994 ford f150 with a 5.0l with Maf sensor and it has a serious ticking problem, a serious losss of compression, and my front crankseal is past smoked. but heres the problem i found a donor truck a 1990 ford f150 with a 5.0l WITHOUT Maf now will that work or do i have to do something fancy for the 1990 engine to work... Any input is greatly apritiated
Thank You
Justin

the only difference is the sensor. a the maf sensor is on the air induction tubes where a map sensor is on the firewall but you dont need the map. just put your induction tubes on and its the exact same thing. just use all the stuff on your old engine.

bigger injectors wont really do anything unless you need the extra fuel. a cam makes a pretty good difference. my truck has a bigger cam and i felt a pretty good difference. and i was also able to pull off just under 24mpg highway doing the speed limit with the cam and cai(mines speed density not MAF). thats about it that'll make a noticeable difference for cheap. then theres magnaflow mufflers, gears, long tube headers. flowmasters are known to restrict power.

I was deff. aiming on long tube headers and i already have a flowmaster super 44.. out of curiosity what did you use for a cam and i was also wondering on intake system. (Intake, throttle body, air intake?) Sorry for all the questions

i saw you had a super 44. they sound better than magnaflow but they take performance away where magnaflow gives better performance than stock.
i dont remember the cam specs off the top of my head but its nothing serious just a mild cam. i'm in NC for school and my spec sheets in my toolbox back in MD. a cold air intake wont work on your truck because it is mass air flow. there is nowhere to put the sensor on the intake unless you rig it up somehow. but you can get some pvc pipe and a K&N or whatever brand air filter for it and try to make your own for cheaper.

intake-i'm thinking about getting this edelbroch intake for mine one day http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

throttle body- i dont know how much of a hp and torque difference it'll make for our trucks but i'm sure it'll help with throttle response.

cold air intake- you'll have to make your own because theres no place for the maf sensor to go in the aftermarket intake unless you rig it up a little bit.
