Need help on cam/timing/assembly

Vehicle in question is a 95 F150 302 5.0 auto 4x4 with 204k on the clock.

Basically, a water pump job turned into a timing chain job. Anyone that knows these motors, knows what probably happened to me. So I have the entire front end of the motor apart. I am having trouble selecting a cam, timing chain, and a few tech questions.

First off, here is a list of cams I found: (please keep in mind I a picking cams under $200 and if I could find a decent cam used, I will take it. Open to suggestions on cam if the price stays under $200)

Timing chain: (I dont know if I need to get an adjustable one or non adjustable but here is a list:

Now I found all the gaskets I needed to do the job all from felpro:

Along with a new water pump and new water pump/timing cover bolts. ALong the route, I will be eliminating emissions. I have already removed the air pump and the cat but will also be doing a EGR block off and remove the rest of the emission stuff that is there. The intake manifold and TB will be hot tanked and cleaned. I got a 185 degree tstat, all new coolant hoses, gaskets, etc. It has a full 3" dual exhaust on it now. I ordered a new IACV and TPS sensor.

If anyone can suggest something I have missed, please speak up. I was thinking about doing the lifters but my budget doesn't allow me to get into the valve train right now other than putting in a cam. I plan to do a GT40 intake manifold swap sometime so I will do the lifters then. The front of this motor is apart now and I dont plan to take it back apart again so i am replacing the things in way way as far as that goes.

My professional opinion (being a Ford Master Technician since 98) is to just replace the timing chain with the stock replacement piece and take out the broken bolt that got you this far to start with. Unless you are going to overhaul the entire engine, 204k is way too long on an engine to replace internals just because you're already there. A new camshaft requires new cam bearings also. I strongly suggest just putting it back together, and saving your money for the cam on a rebuild. Or better yet, buy another engine, and build it while you drive the truck.

stock replacement parts at 204K. removing the EGR may give you horrendous spark knock aka detonation.

your plan is costly and will not make you truck run noticably better!-in fact there is a high probability it will run worse.

I spent about another 3 hours on it today getting the intake manifold and such off. So much stupid useless **** on these motors. Changing the design on a few things to make other repairs easier and all that emission **** is gone. Had about 20 feet of tubing for emissions running all over that motor. Everything is gone. It cleaned up real well and already it seems everything is 1000% easier to work around.

I found out today that the lower intake manifold is a good flowing lower. Has the design of the Holley. Going to match the lower runners to the head runners and put it all back together. I guess way back in the day, everyone liked using these truck lowers and used to put a box upper on top of them.

Is it worth it getting a heat spacer for the upper and lower?
