Rough Idle, To Stall, To No Start
Hi, I am new to this forum, and I joined because I am having problems. I have a 1993 Ford F-150 with the fuel injected 5.0L 302 CI engine. It has 93000 miles on it. I just recently started to have a rough idle problem with it. I put new injectors in, and that solved the rough idle problem. Then, it started again. It idled fine, until I put it into gear.It would sometimes stalled out, but I could start it up again. Then, I went to start it the other sday, and it barely started, and ran extremely rough, like there were some dead cylinders. It got so bad, that if I let my foot off of the gas, it would just shut off. Now, it won't even start. I called up NAPA, and asked their head tech what I shold do, and he said to replace the fuel filter, and so I did. It still won't start. When I turn the key on, I can here the fuel pump working, and when I changed the fuel filter today, I had to relieve the fuel system pressure, so I know that the fuel pump is working. When it turns over, it's almost like it wants to start, but just doesn't go. It has a whole new ignition system (Coil, Distributer, Plug Wires, and Plugs), new injectors, now a new fuel filter, new fuel lines, and a bunch of other new stuff. I have no clue as to what the problem is, but it just kept getting worse and worse, and now, like I said, it won't even start. If anybody has any idea as to what it might be, I would appreciate it. Thanks

First you need to determine if it's an ignition problem or something else. Check to see if you have spark going through the spark plug wires while cranking the engine. Or maybe spray some starting fluid into the air intake and see if you can get a pop out of it.
if it just all of a sudden died on you or even if it didn't I would check the Crank position sensor I know on my truck the wires broke and it all of a sudden just died like right in the middle of the road so I had to coast to the nearest gas station to stop
also if you are wondering where it is it is between the air compressor and the engine block just prey that it is the wires it it is that thing because to replace it you have to take off the compressor.

just because you have fuel pressure it doesn't mean your pump/regulator is working correctly. You have to use a gauge it has to be within specification for the injectors to work. I dont know the spec for your truck you should get a book and trouble shoot it with that.
