We need information to help. Fill out your profile in the user control panel so your truck information appears in every post like mine does in the upper right. Whats happining with the truck besides the check engine light? You can have the codes pulled at most auto parts stores for free and come here and post them. Then we can help you fix it.my Guess is you have a bad coil..

Always look at plugs and coils first. They are #1 cause of misfires and engine lights. Just run down to auto parts and have them read the code. That will tell you what you will need to look at and will even tell you which cylinder is misfiring.

hey i just had the same problem this past week and all i did was take my coil packs out and dried the water from down in the spark plugs and cleaned the corrosion off the coil where the spring goes into it and that seemed to fix the problem. i also put some dielectric grease inside there to on the coil. the resistance on your coils should be about 5 ohms. mine read about 5.4.

Yea , allot of times that works if your running packs. But we don't know what the OP is running yet. He asked a question without telling us what system he has.
