My motor kicked the bucket in my 2000 F-150 and I'm debating on replacing it or get a new truck...depending on replacement price.

My question is what years motor would work with the truck? Would a Expo/F-250/van 5.4 motor work or is the mounting/electrical different?

 

any 99-2003 5.4 would pretty much swap directly.

 

Explorers won't work - They don't have a 5.4L in those.
