I got mine wrapped now shifty, but I don't care if they rust out. I just got sick of the noise. I think I even gained some ponies doing so, to hard to tell. I just took all that off , used VHT like you did and I;m going to re-rap. Rap actually helps in performance , but yea, it will collect moisture if you don't seal the wrap. They make a wrap sealer now in aerosol can that you spray on after it's wrapped. It doesn't last.

 

ah i gotcha i just rember that site you found has made me tell everyone of my friends not to get it. in the summer time i have no innerfenders the heat gets out pretty good. the collectors on my headers are still perfect paint the under side of the pimarys are kind of rusty. the top side of the primarys are still pretty painted lasted alot longer than that black paint they send them with. suprisingly my cut-outs still have some of that black paint on them. im happy with just paint but header wrap around my starter wire postive haha that made a melted mess after i got my tranny back in.

How does wraping it give you performace? i wonder if thats true Thanks jbrew
