gassy smell...could it be the injector?

i have a 1994 f-150 with the 5.0/302, i've been noticing the smell of gas fumes when the truck is running. i think its the injectors going bad but im no expert, or could it be in the fuel line or pump? anyone have any pointers?

it's rare that it would be the injectors.

it's probably just the exhaust, I don't see how the injectors, or fuel lines unless they have an obvious leak are sealed

with the year of the truck you may want to look at the fuel tank(s). they get dirt and mud all on top and they start to rot out.
look at the top of the motor and see if there is gas there.
tarajerame is most likely right. without cats theres no way for the exhaust system to burn off the unburnt fuel.

No cats and an exhaust with any leaks or that doesn't exit out from under the bed behind the rear wheels will give you fumes in the cab.

Sounds like you just need a tune-up.
