Engine Won't Start Sometimes
Update on this problem
It happened again, this time without the engine barely warm. I narrowed it down to a fuel problem as I was not hearing the fuel pump engage and there was no pressure at the fuel rail
So I turned the key on (but not running) and off 5 times, pausing between the cycles as to let the pressure build up. The truck then ran.
I then pulled off the hose to the regulator to see if it was broken diaphram and there was no fuel in the hose.
So I was thinking the problem could be a sticking fuel pump relay, so I swapped it with the horn relay. I assume that by turning the key on and off, I unstuck it.
There is no way to know for sure as the problem was intermittant, but I read on this board about fuel pump relays going bad. I will see if the problem comes back.
