i'm working on a 2000 f-150, and i'm putting a new motor, with ported pi heads. this truck has non pi heads. the question i have is, which year if any, did the f-150's have the pi heads and intake? i need an intake for the new set up. any help would be great. thanks

 

What are pi heads? Not familiar with pi?

 

power improved heads, they come on 99-04 mustangs. not sure if they came on the 4.6 f-150's, they are also on the 5.4 f-150's.

 

Usually what I would do is call the parts department at the dealership and ask them, I own my own shop and deal with them on a regular basis and are helpful. Just a thought!

All 99and up 2valves have PI heads. 4.6 and 5.4.

I own a 2000 5.4 and it for sure has PI's

 

the 4.6 got the pi heads in 01

You never did say if your working on a 4.6 or a 5.4!
Like was said though,,the 4.6 got PI in 01 and the 5.4 in 99. In the trucks anyway.

sorry guys, it is a 4.6 that i am working on. i'm puttin a built 4.6 in it, and when i pulled the intake off the stock motor, that's when i found out i had some new problems. lol thanks for the help. i will start looking for a 01 up 4.6 intake.
