Engine running rich
I did find some threads that were more specific. After mentioning the code. I searched the code PO172 and found several examples. I will test the little notdamnits, clean the MAF and throttle body. I still really thinking its the O2's. The two front ones are the only ones that haven't been changed. Not thinking its injectors. They were changed last year. Had a vacuum leak a few months ago that I couldn't find so I took it into my shop. So not thinking its that ether. Can a clogged filter cause this?
Can a clogged filter cause this?
Did you find the DIY for cleaning the MAF? Also might want to check it with a multi-meter.
Could also be a leaky or stuck injector-maybe run some injector cleaner through it.
If you are getting a code that the O2 is reporting then the O2 is doing it's job, it's way too common for guys to replace the O2's for doing what they are supposed to do.
Could also be caused by being over pressure on the fuel.
Start simple and work up from there, we are here to help.
Good luck
Jim
