Throttle Cable Replacement

The throttle cable on my '99 (4.6L) snapped near the throttle body end. I have a replacement ordered; any tips on how to go about swapping it out?? Is it as easy as fastening them together and pulling the old one through? How about the proper tension? Any help is appreciated.

TWO bolts on the firewall. remove those. Go underneath the steering wheel, look atop the gas pedal, pull the cable through the dot connector, push dot connector out.

If its stock it doesnt need tension adjustment, just follw where the one thats in there now goes and route the new one same way. . .
